How Introgauge measures the way people and organizations work
Four drivers
Every Introgauge instrument measures the same four behavior drivers: Action (deciding, acting, adapting), Process (structure, consistency, information that reaches people), Strategy (direction, kept current) and People(cooperation, trust, shared values). A person has a mix of the four. So does a team, and so does an organization. The mix is the object we measure; none of the four is “good” on its own.
Eight archetypes
The two strongest drivers name an archetype: Architect, Trailblazer, Catalyst, Strategist, Operator, Connector, Visionary, Guardian. The same eight names describe a person on CareerIQ and an organization on OrgIQ, with copy written for each. An archetype is a shape, not a grade, and no archetype is preferred. When the lead is narrow, the result says so and names the close second rather than pretending to certainty.
How a result is scored
You answer statements on a 0–10 scale. Each driver’s score is the mean of its statements. For individual instruments, the index reads how balanced the four drivers are. For organizational instruments, it reads how close each driver sits to a target, and there is no penalty for exceeding it. The Harmonization Index puts that on a 0–100 scale so a team or a leader has one number to repeat, with a band that says what the number means. The scoring is the same for every taker of an instrument, and it is frozen: a result taken in March and one taken in September are computed the same way.
What a result is, and is not
A result is a snapshot of how you, or your organization, tend to work right now, as you see it. It is not a personality type, not a hiring test, and not a judgment of ability. It changes when the way you work changes, which is the point of taking it again.
Taking it again
A single result is a starting point. Organizations run OrgIQ in cycles and compare them, so the question stops being "what are we like" and becomes "what moved". Individuals can retake CareerIQ any time; the free organizational check invites a retake after 90 days.
Who built it
The instruments come from thirty years of organizational consulting practice, rebuilt for Introgauge with positively worded statements, fixed scoring that is tested against frozen reference sets, and norms that grow as more organizations take part. The full statement sets are not published; the method above is.
